Class Types

1

Synchronous

Synchronous courses include a live class meeting component. These courses require attendance at the live class meetings in order to complete the course.

Synchronous class meetings are virtual unless otherwise noted during registration.

Students who learn best from a traditional class structure, instructor-led lessons and practice, and engagement with peers would benefit most from this course structure.

2

Asynchronous

Asynchronous courses do not include a requirement to attend live class meetings. This structure is ideal for the student who is always on the go! Asynchronous courses allow for flexibility of when materials will be completed; these courses include additional videos, resources, and materials that substitute the live class meetings.

Students will be expected to engage with the materials throughout each week and complete any assigned activities throughout the course.

Tutoring

Tutoring is offered on an individual basis for students who are currently enrolled in K-12 or college level ASL courses. For more information, please visit the Packages page.

Guided group practice tutoring is also offered periodically. These structured settings focus on specific skills learned throughout various levels of ASL courses. The topic of focus will be announced prior to registration. Any requests for topics to include in guided group practice tutoring should be sent to MrsEyersASL@gmail.com!
